When you first open an instance document in Dragon View you will have the Report Preview and Markup Review tabs showing automatically.



If you would like to see the Data Grid, navigate to the View Menu and select, "Show Data Grid"



The Data Grid will then open up as illustrated below.

When you are in the "Markup Review" tab you will have the option to select the columns, "Percentage of All SEC Filers" and "Percentage of All Filers for Selected SIC":

Percentage of All SEC Filers:
• This column with populate with data automatically and provide percentages of ALL SEC Filers who have filed in XBRL who used these same element in their XBRL filing.
• If there is an extended element, then the percentage will be blank, since it is unique to the specific company.

Percentage of All Filers for Selected SIC:
• This column will only populate with data if you select an "SIC Code for comparison" from the drop down menu.
• Select the appropriate code, such as 2910, and then the column will populate with data.
• The percentages in this column shows that 50% of filers within this industry (or selected SIC Code) use this element in their filing.



These columns provide a great benchmark when you are reviewing the elements within your filing. Dragon View provides a color scheme to help in the review process. All percentages of 50% or greater will be highlighted in green. All percentages of 25% or less will be in pink.

When you first open up Dragon View, navigate up to the File Menu and select, "Open / US SEC Recent Filing" as illustrated below



Then a box will appear with the most recent 100 filings to the SEC as pictured below. You can navigate to the filing you want by using the scroll bar on the right hand side of the screen, highlight the row and then click, "Open Selected Filing" to have the instance document load in Dragon View.



To open the corresponding extended taxonomy, navigate back to the file menu, and then select, "Open / US SEC Recent Taxonomy" and select the taxonomy and click open:
