Dragon View Standard Edition Features & Benefits
Dragon View System Requirements
Dragon View Presentation Edition includes the "review" and "benchmark against other filers"
features from the Standard Edition as well as the added ability to produce reports in HTML or Excel format that
are critical in satisfying SEC requirements and be able to generate presentation-quality reports for both internal and external communication. (A detailed list of
features and benefits in the standard edition are listed below.)

| Generate an HTML Reporting Book |
One aspect of the SEC XBRL ruling that requires special care and attention is the publication of your interactive data on your company's
public facing web site.
With Dragon View Presentation Edition, you can easily satisfy this requirement by exporting the HTML reports to a "reporting book" that can
be posted on your company website. |
| Generate an Excel Reporting Book |
The power of "interactive data" is that you can take the data and create additional useful supporting materials.
With Dragon View Presentation Edition, you can create charts and key ratios directly in the exported Excel Reporting Book and distribute the reporting book for internal or external communication. |
| Look at the available information in your own way |
For example, you may want to focus on only the extended elements. With Dragon View Presentation Edition, you can "filter" the data and export just the extended elements to the Excel based reporting book. |
| Select how much detail to include in a report |
There are 10 or more columns of data that not all users care to see. You can now easily hide these columns, thus making the markup review easier and exports only the data of interest to the Excel reporting book. |

Dragon View Standard Edition is designed to help you review XBRL taxonomies and instance documents in a friendly format. Used in conjunction with Rivet's industry-leading Dragon Tag XBRL enabler or the hosted CrossTag tagging solution, Dragon View provides start-to-finish support for your XBRL projects.
| Review |
| Feature |
Benefit |
| One-click to view the most recent SEC filings |
We provide the link so you do not need to search for the SEC file you need on their website. You can open filed instance documents and company extension taxonomies. |
| Tabbed interface to view data as it will be presented using the IDEA SEC viewer and review markups |
It is now even easier to switch between the report preview and the markup review since they are within the same product. You can easily see the details for each line of the report preview or review the markups for each element, all without Dragon Tag or CrossTag. |
| Review extended elements using filtering and sorting |
In the past, you may have wanted to sort on a column to prioritize your work. You can now click on the SEC % column - which shows how many other companies used this tag - and instantly see which items have the lowest percentage of use in order to ensure that this element is the one you intended to choose.
Or you could focus your review efforts on the outliers by filtering the report and just reviewing the extended elements used within the filing.
|
| Review element name and definition |
Review the element name and definition to ensure that the selected element is the best match for the row of your printed financials. |
| Quick and easy display of information with robust viewing options |
View the data as you would in the IDEA SEC viewer, review markup reports to see details about reporting element. |
| Use Dragon View to review files before they are sent to the SEC |
Verify the formatting of the report as it will appear in the IDEA SEC viewer. Verify formatting including headers and Underscores. |
| Provide multiple drill paths to get a clear picture of the filing |
Depending upon what information you want, you can now click on an element to see additional details. You can select the markup review to review the SEC% and SIC% for that element or select the data grids to view calculation hierarchy information, etc. |
| Drill into taxonomy supporting information |
View and search for elements using the taxonomy viewer. |
| Benchmark against other Filers |
| Feature |
Benefit |
| View % of all SEC filers or SIC filers who have used this same element in their XBRL filing. |
Out of the 10,000+ line items available from the US GAAP taxonomy, how do you know that your company has picked the right line items?
You might have concerns about the tagging elements you are choosing. You want to know if other companies who have filed are using the same reporting element. When tagging an element, users can see how many other SEC filers - or more specifically, filers with the same SIC code - have also used this element. This gives you and your auditor additional comfort knowing that the element you chose is the correct element for this line item. |
| Determine what elements might need further review |
Focus your review efforts on the outliers by sorting and filtering the report by SEC% or SIC% columns. Spend your time reviewing the elements that fall before a certain threshold. |
| Benchmark a filing against peer groups |
You can now compare your element selection against peer companies in your industry and "sort" by the percentage of its use. |
