Sharepoint Administrator
Job Summary:
The SharePoint Administrator for the Software Engineering and Technical Operations groups reports the SharePoint Manager. The SETO group implements and supports content and collaboration-related systems as well as custom applications. The SharePoint environment currently supports the intranet, an enterprise collaboration site service offering, collaboration extranet and custom workflow applications. This role is primarily responsible for administering and supporting applications based on SharePoint. Additionally, this person will be involved in all SDLC stages. Candidate must have extensive SharePoint experience and must be familiar with best practices for deploying and supporting SharePoint-based applications and servers for a very large group or entire company.
Responsibilities:
- Configure, deploy, and support SharePoint-based solutions
- Customize SharePoint sites
- Evolve (configure and develop solutions to support) an enterprise collaboration site deployment (site wizard, site inventory, site templates, etc.)
- Follow and evolve SharePoint governance practices
- Provide support for SharePoint deployments; facilitate deployments and to troubleshoot issues as necessary
- Contribute to Enterprise Content Management & Collaboration Strategy
- Contribute to the SP architecture design (for both internal and externally-facing sites)
- Support SharePoint Administrator as necessary (for deployments and administration)
- Identify, implement, and maintain third-party tools required to effectively manage the environment
- Work with user communities to elicit requirements, document requirements and design
- Document requirements, detailed design, change control, etc.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Mid-level SharePoint experience
- 3+ years’ experience developing applications using Microsoft technologies
- InfoPath 2010
- SharePoint Designer 2010
- Experience configuring and customizing SharePoint sites/webparts
- Experience with all SDLC stages, documenting requirements to completion
- Experience administering SharePoint environments
- Experience establishing governance models and insight into effective SharePoint governance
- Support externally-facing collaboration (with web front end servers on DMZ)
- Experience developing and/or supporting an electronic forms service
- SharePoint 2010
- Team Foundation Server (TFS)
- Powershell
- XML / XSLT
- Experience/comfort with working in small groups and wearing multiple hats
- Insight into how to best leverage out of the box functionality and to ensure that as the environment grows it remains maintainable
- Experience with enterprise deployments - insight into how to most effectively leverage the platform while making decisions that consider the maintainability and scalability of the environment
- Experience implementing and supporting document-centric solutions/content management apps
- Ability to work independently and to multitask effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with third-party workflow (e.g. K2) is a plus

Education and Industry Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in related technical field and 3+ years related experience in SharePoint Server Management
