Systems Network Engineer

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has turned to Rivet frequently in developing the regulatory framework for XBRL, a new and significantly improved method of presenting financial information.
The System Network Engineer plans and manages the effective use of resources to provide the entire host of services associated with the management, maintenance, and coordination of user support and network resources. It requires strong project management and customer service skills as well as an ability to think strategically and to be able to make change based on long term goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Proactively monitor and maintain company network infrastructure.
- Maintain Microsoft Windows 2003 and 2008 Servers and Hyper-V server environment.
- Configure, deploy, maintain and troubleshoot SharePoint WSS 3.0.
- Configure, deploy and maintain company Routers, Switches and Firewalls to include Cisco ASA technology.
- Administrate hosted MS Exchange server environment, Cisco VPN.
- Responsibilities also include system administration and help desk support.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Manage the purchase of all software and computer-related assets.
- Manage licensing of internally used software to ensure compliance.
- Ensure security of computers, networks and peripherals.
- Oversee and ensure proper performance of office Avaya IP Office phone system.
- Maintain Symantec Backup Exec 10 system, including a (tested) living disaster recovery plan.
- Maintain company desktops, laptops, printers & smart phones or Blackberry.
Requirements:
- Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) preferred.
- SharePoint – MOSS experience required.
- 5+ years of experience as a System Engineer.
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience in managing Windows Servers, Exchange Severs, and VPN.
- Understanding of web-based technologies, web administration, and database management.
- Experience in setting up web servers.
- Excellent Customer Service and communication skills.
Compensation:
- Base Salary - $65-75k per year
