Solutions Software Engineer
Description:
The Solutions Software Engineer will be responsible for the rapid delivery of software solutions in support of our client services team. The engineer should be capable of working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and be able to quickly troubleshoot and develop innovative solutions for software issues and process inefficiencies.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct development support to our client services team and act as a liaison between client services and the product development team.
- Streamline the processes used by the client services team and our customers through innovative tools and technologies.
- Troubleshoot complex product issues and provide technical solutions to the issues and/or coordinate solutions with the product development team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 4-5 years developing windows applications
- Strong C# development experience
- Strong HTML development experience
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks
- Experience developing easy-to-use, intuitive application interfaces for non-technical end-users
Additional Skills and Credentials (Helpful, but not required):
- Experience developing VSTO Excel apps and knowledge of the Excel object model
- Experience writing SQL in various database management systems (MS Sql, Oracle, DB2, etc.)
- Experience in client-side web development, such as OO JavaScript and CSS
- Knowledge of emerging web technologies
- Knowledge of .NET Web Services and Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
- Content management concepts, such as workflow, publishing, change tracking, etc.
- Familiar with SharePoint Web Services (WSS) 3.0
- Familiar with SaaS concepts such as multi-tenant architectures
