RIVET SOFTWARE ANNOUNCES NEW REPORTING PLATFORM

Crossfire Reporting Platform Transforms Financial Reporting and Analysis

(9/1/2009)

Denver, CO– September 1, 2009 – Rivet® Software announces the Crossfire Reporting Platform (Crossfire) that enables businesses to manage the compliance, control and communication of their financial information and to participate in the emerging global financial ecosystem.

Crossfire comprises three application and service offerings that deliver full support for the journey towards financial transformation:

  1. Crossfire Preparer – For the preparation, review, submission and web publishing of SEC filings using XBRL.
  2. Crossfire Analyst – For the analysis of ongoing filing submissions and comparative benchmarking against industry peer groups.
  3. Crossfire Integrator – For the integration of data sourced from internal ERP and data warehouse systems and external data feeds.

Crossfire is for public or private corporations making or expecting to make XBRL filings to the SEC and for any business that recognizes the value of standardizing their internal and external reporting by leveraging the power of new reporting taxonomies.

"We believe that the SEC mandate for XBRL filing represents an opportunity for businesses to take the first step in transforming their financial reporting and analysis", said Mike Rohan, CEO of Rivet Software. "We have designed the Crossfire Reporting Platform to support CFOs and Controllers on every step of the journey towards the financial transformation of their businesses."

Crossfire is available for installation either as an in-house product or for use on a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) basis. The solution leverages Microsoft® Excel, SharePoint and SQL Server technologies and runs in a web browser. Each application shares the common platform services including the report repository and report template designer. Over 250 customers already use components of Crossfire, including the SEC and leading investment management firms like T. Rowe Price who trusted Rivet for their initial SEC filings and recognized the future potential of financial transformation:

"We wanted to start out by getting our feet wet in the process," said Candace Knott of the CFO Group at T. Rowe Price. "Even though XBRL filings weren’t required then, we wanted to participate in the voluntary program to make sure we were fully prepared well before our first required filing. Moreover, as an asset manager, we could be directly and favorably impacted by this new source of financial data."

The Crossfire Reporting Platform is available now with the individual application modules being released during August 2009, beginning with Crossfire Preparer.
