Industry Leaders Use Dragon Tag™ for SEC XBRL Filing Program
(04/27/2005)

Rivet® Software Selected to Be a Featured Partner in the Solution Showcase for the
Microsoft Office System

XBRL International Conference, Boston, April 27, 2005 - Rivet Software, an innovator in Financial Integrity Management solutions, today announced the availability of Dragon Tag 1.5 (Beta), a free upgrade to its Microsoft Word® and Microsoft Excel® add-in that converts data into XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language) format.  Dragon Tag 1.5 includes new features and specific functionality to help customers comply with the new Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) XBRL Voluntary Financial Reporting Program. This release demonstrates Rivet's continuing commitment to ensure compatibility with XBRL requirements and adoption activities.

"Customer interest to participate in the SEC Voluntary Filing Program continues to be strong," said Rob Blake, Vice President, Product Marketing at Rivet Software. "Working closely with existing users and key partners allowed us to enhance Dragon Tag to take advantage of this opportunity quickly and efficiently.  Dragon Tag's functionality helps customers break down real and perceived barriers related to adopting XBRL for regulatory reporting."

Industry Leaders Partner with Rivet Software to Further XBRL Adoption
Dragon Tag is the first easy to use solution for accounting and financial professionals that removes the complexity of converting financial statements to industry-standard XBRL. Several large companies, including Microsoft and RR Donnelly, have leveraged the combination of new features available in this Dragon Tag update to help them file with regulators like the SEC.

Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT), a long-time supporter of XBRL, used Dragon Tag to file its latest financials to the SEC in XBRL format, as well as selected Rivet to be a featured partner in its XBRL scenario within the Solution Showcase for the Microsoft Office System launched earlier this week.  The Solution Showcase highlights how leading organizations solve important business problems using the Microsoft Office System and illustrates how Microsoft partners are tapping into the value and power of building solutions based on the Microsoft Office System.

"Our XBRL scenario, Improving Financial Analysis and Reporting using XBRL and the Microsoft Office System, is a chance to help educate our customers and streamline their ability to create and consume financial reports using XBRL with Microsoft-based technology," said Jon Clemens, Senior Product Manager with Microsoft.  "With Dragon Tag 1.5's easy to use interface and tight integration with Microsoft Office, it enables financial reporting professionals to quickly publish XBRL without significant changes to their existing processes."

Rivet Software worked closely with RR Donnelley, one of the first registrants to voluntarily furnish XBRL data to the SEC, to utilize Dragon Tag to convert their financial statements into XBRL format.  Additionally, PR Newswire, EDGAR® Online®, Inc. (NASDAQ: EDGR) and Software AG, who announced partnerships with Rivet Software earlier this year, continue their collaborative efforts to enable their customers to create their financial documents in XBRL using Dragon Tag's 1.5 offering.

"The SEC's XBRL Program and early participation by several well-established companies is a major milestone in the adoption of XBRL," said Michelle Savage, vice president of Investor Relations Services at PR Newswire.  "By combining Rivet's Dragon Tag 1.5 with PR Newswire's vast distribution network, we are providing a complete solution for helping customers submit data to the SEC in XBRL format while allowing them to continue to make their news and information available to the media and investors worldwide."

Rivet Software, a participant at this week's 11th XBRL International Conference in Boston, demonstrated the latest version of Dragon Tag and will participate in an interoperability demonstration from 10:30-10:45 am, on Thursday, April 28th.  Interested parties are invited to attend the conference and learn more about Dragon Tag and XBRL from Rivet Software representatives.
