American Institute of CPAs Signs Marketing Arrangement to Promote Rivet Software's Dragon Tag and Dragon View XBRL Solutions
Rivet Assists Accounting Profession in Adoption of XBRL
DENVER-November 16, 2005-Rivet Software, an innovator in Financial Integrity Management™ solutions, today announced that it has been called on by the leading accounting profession association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), to deliver the benefits and continued adoption awareness of eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL). XBRL is a royalty-free standard derived from XML for the specific purpose of communicating and publishing business report information. The new partnership with the AICPA demonstrates the continued momentum of XBRL within the accounting and finance community and solidifies Rivet's Dragon Tag and Dragon View as the applications of choice for accounting and finance professionals.
The AICPA is a founding member of the XBRL International consortium and continues to play a leadership role in the worldwide promotion and adoption of XBRL.
"XBRL fundamentally transforms and improves the way companies, investors, lenders, analysts and regulators exchange, aggregate and analyze business information," said Barry Melancon, President and CEO of the AICPA. "Our members recognize these benefits of XBRL and the need for tools that allow them to leverage the standard quickly and affordably. We believe that Rivet's Dragon Tag and Dragon View products will help expedite the adoption of XBRL among our community."
The AICPA and Rivet have entered into a marketing agreement to promote Rivet's Dragon Tag and recently announced Dragon View XBRL solutions to the AICPA's nearly 350,000 members. Under the terms of the agreement, AICPA members will be able to order Dragon Tag and Dragon View via an AICPA-specific email address (aicpa@rivetsoftware.com) and landing page on Rivet's web site. Members of the AICPA will receive special support options as part of the marketing agreement.
"There is currently a heightened awareness by accounting professionals that XBRL is gaining ground as the primary business reporting standard all over the world," said Wayne Harding, CPA, Vice President of Business Development for Rivet.
